Days - 14 april to 19 april @ Dunedin

Purpose - to find my beloved Carol (11 years of wonderful friendship, eversince we shared similar red hello kitty wallets in primary one and travelled in the same mini school bus) who is currently studying at Otago Universitiy at Dunedin, and it was her Easter holidays and we both thought it would be swell if i went over to find her, so i did!
and boy did we have fun, along with her friend Joel who i made good friends with haaha.

and carol and I broke our digicams! apparently we were both ignorant about sand and how harmful they are to lenses... her camera could not be switched off and mine couldn't turn on... great. but i always wanted to get a new digicam 'cos my lumix's flash didn't work for a year and i was deprived of night shots but not anymore! i got myself a pink canon ixus at New Zealand.

no, once again this is not over reaction.

i came across an article in a magazine i was reading on board

there's this column with a headline that says "i need to pee... again!" so i read on...
most of the people who often hang out with me will know that i go to the washroom like 5 times or more in an outing and i would bring a water bottle along and drink like gallons of water at one shot. i literally couldn't live without drowning myself with water. people mistook it as being healthy and the reason why i've got "nice" complexion, little did all of you know... that i may be DIABETIC................... and NYP lecture mates who may not know me at first somehow already know me for being the pee girl who goes out of the lecture hall very very often because of a loose bladder.

Gonna split the posts on my Melbourne trip to maybe two or three parts so here's the first! or is it the second 'cos i already posted one about V Festival. aiya who cares.

one thing i enjoy about overseas trip is the plane ride. you get to see the stars right beside you... and the clouds below you... :)

and this time i'm travelling alone so it's even more exciting! Dad thought it'll be better if i experienced my first time travelling alone even better if i sat business class so he got me a ticket. i felt like a lucky bitch after all the unlucky mishaps.

yashi picked me from the airport and to her apartment and she kindly sacrificed me her bed.. aww =)

yashi planned sui sui for me on the first night i arrived! the both of us were supposingly gonna have dinner at this italian restaurant and we'll share a plate of pasta and a pizza and all and i least suspected that Doreen and Andrea will appear and surprise me with their lovely presence! when i entered the restaurant and saw em i was like "eh... hi" and appeared expressionless 'cos i didn't know what was happening until after quite a long pause i figured out that they were here to surprise me ahahhahaha was superbly happy =) it's been ages since i last saw em laaaaaaa!

incase anyone's confused, yashi- my niece of the same age (i tend to say she's my cousin 'cos niece sounds a bit weird ah, and my closest relative)

probably the first time i blog on the left side HAHA
here's the photos taken at V FEST
you might notice it's flooding with brandon's awesomeness *inserts heart shape*
yes its just so soothing to the eyes... ahhh
anyways yeah Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers are awesome, although Johnny Borrell from Razorlight didn't sing 'Who Needs Love?'... a shame. but both Ricky Wilson and my Brandon (haha) sang all my favourite songs yay
and i guess yashi and I were darn lucky 'cos not many people are that interested in Razorlight but i was, so we tried to get as near as we could get to the stage, and coincidentally both kaiserchiefs and killers are performing on the same stage and right after eachother, with a half an hour interval, so we stayed at our spot for close to 5 hours in total for the concert, which was soooooo worth :)
and besides screaming shouting like some kid going berserk while The Killers were playing, i just stood there and stared at him like literally O_O... starstruck.... anyways,
B.F started with Spaceman and ended with When You Were Young. awesome fuck.

can't wait for tomorrow, 4D's annual class chalet @ aloha loyang.. man it's been ages since i attended a chalet, i guess the last one was last year's class chalet can't freaking wait to see all of them.

this group of guys from the pit next to ours were finding thrill over loading a poor passenger into a super market trolley and pushing it in high speed, and waiting to watch as the poor guy crash and fall. more than 20 of them tried on their "ride". what kind of entertainment are guys into nowadays... and it seems they didn't bother about anyone getting hurt, they actually pushed a girl inside... and asked us several times if we wanted to try... they acted real high and crazy but i didn't suspect that they were drunk, just thought they're merely seeking fun and got the most of it... until they started chasing me when we were going back... was freaking terrified.

oh well. and thanks Eden(mer's honey) for sending us home and mer ofcourse, for asking me along! (hahaha)

speaking of grades, i just received them and i got to say... HAHAHA

alrighty, i was tagged by Zakiyyah to do this thing which requires me to share 5 facts about myself (though i highly doubt any soul here's interested ) but here goes:

1) among all the many adjectives that best describes me (mainly negative, of course) lazy, fat, blur, indecisive, unfocused, sensitive, hot-tempered and so on, but if i were to choose just one word that best describes me it would be : Impulsive

2) i love doing things alone, but that does not verify that i'm anti-social.

i like to feel comfortable so i'd rather be alone than be with people that i have to be fake or feel uncomfortable with but you got to admit : shopping alone is the best damn thing! (or with a best friend la)

i've got problems conversing - people say i talk very fast! maybe 'cos i'm too lazy then i squeeze all the words i intend to deliver to the other party in a flash? haha. and i tend to lose confidence while conversing and tend to stutter

to summarise, real low self esteem (proven)

3) i've got an addiction- to sourplums. since young, whenever i feel sick, down, heartbroken, lost or just wanting to savour the flavourable taste, i would turn to its fusion of sweet, salty and sour goodness and am prepared to deal with the kidney stones that will be developed in the future

4) i suspect i'm a little psychotic - (and stupid) when i was 16, i once popped more than 80 panadol pills and drowned myself with tiger beer, which resulted in non-stop pukathon (unfortunately Reen had to witness and accompany me to the hospital to get my butt injected) and since then whenver the smell and taste of alcohol linger around me i'd feel a jolt of spasm and nausea, so that's the story behind why i say i'm allergic to alcohol to some of you... but it's a blessing in disguise eh? an attempt to "commit suicide" turn to something beautiful - not growin up to be an alcoholic. but that was long ago so there's no need to be alarmed ah brother if you're reading

my mom says that her friends think i'm the "cool" sort, no not the "wah so cool" cool, the "get lost, i don't want to talk to you" cool. says i look unapproachable and unfriendly. come to think of it, i get that all the time. i guess most of you guys who don't really know me but saw me before or something, probably's nodding your head vigorously and agreeing with my mom's friends.

but hey, i'm so the friendly lor, come on. you say hi to me, yeah i'll probably give a O_O expression but after that i'll come to you and shock you by giving an intimate detail of myself, who knows?

and i know how people know i'll get affected by things easily that's why they tend to hide certain things or block the truth from me so that i won't feel hurt. but hiding things and getting found out in the end's more hurtful, no?

my mom even had to spare my feelings, afraid i'll get angry, just to let me know her opinion on how i look in certain clothing. that's low for a mom to feel that way. so yeah, i hate myself.

i hate myself for being so stupid in dealing with criticism... or anything else that's related

on Thursday, mer invited me along to her class outing to Pulau Ubin

honestly i was happy that she called me along, knowing how bored i'm at home all the time and how much i love cycling

OH YEAH. my intake's JULY. bloodyfuck, 'cos was too late for the april intake, gonna enroll myself in some fitness programme and get myself a job man...

and, ya, go on, rejoice fellow ex school/classmates! HAHA, no longer can you see a fat girl trying to act skinny by wearing tight fitting clothing and drown herself in makeup that looks like it's being drawn by a younger sibling, and no longer do you need to care about the fat girl's ever-so-fragile feelings that you have to hide or give her special treatment! rejoice!

but, i have to say, i'm going to miss one thing about NYP

- south canteen's breakfast set!!! that i had almost every school day in my poly life (no joke)

guess i won't be setting foot into that campus anymore.. oh except for wednesday or something, need to withdraw from the school before i can study somewhere else ma!

ok la, besides the school's food, i'll miss JALIBOY! gonna miss his stupid remarks, funny face expressions, motorbike (haha), how he walked sideways to shelter me from the rain that's coming from the side, or covering me if i'm wearing a dress and it's super windy. not to mention how he'll constantly encourage me and asking me not to give up so easily.

yesterday was liyan's 18th birthday, and today's connie's 18th!

went to marina square yesterday with my beloved lolly

so let's see... this week's pretty much the same, stayed at home 95% of the time, mostly watching tv, watching simpsons & family guy online, and i found an alternative to spend my time : NFS PROSTREET! yeah found out my brothers actually got the ps3 version of nfs... yay

people worthy to challenge, westlake is the place!

and the 5% goes to minimising the risk of turning obese ( serious. to the point of time when i lie down too much while using my laptop / watch tv and had too much snacks till i've got no bloody energy to stand up and got tired most of the time) so what better way but to cycle (slowly and out of breath) my way to my comfort zone or as i like to call : Macritchie - heaven on earth

this holidays i've been going out like once a week, or at most twice a week... tell me your life is like that too.. please?

so my little stupid lian came over to my place and expects me to whip up some instant mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs and sausages. (just like old times, at my previous house)

unfortunately i didn't have instant mashed potatoes so boiled her some german sausages... yummmmm

and later on, made our way to far east plaza to shop for our fellow lolly's present

but of course, i have been side-tracking so i spent most of the time looking at things i'm interested in

the both of us were feeling rather nostalgic as we recalled the stupid/wacky/wonderful times we spent during our secondary school days. it would be the three of us, liyan(lian), melissa(mer) and I (puikia), though none of us were together as the three in the class before. i could count myself as lucky as i got to be of the same class as the both of them, sec 1,3 and 4 with mer and 2 with lian. we even signed up to a China trip at the end of sec 2 and had loads of wacky times spent.. like the time we ran across our hotel to a convenience store in the wintry night, minimally dressed, with basketball shorts and baggy tees and hotel bedroom slippers, just to get cup noodles. and how i was lian's roommate, and she'd make me wait in the bathroom as she bathes (with the curtains drawn of course) and after turning on and off the tap almost immediately, she claims she's done.

and the many things she feared when travelling abroad :

-the middle of two hotel beds joined together (afraid of being sucked in unknowingly)

-sitting near a curtain at a restaurant (i know, i'm confused too)

-the dark ( who isn't??)

-turning on/off the television of the hotel room

but as expected, she's the responsible one, so she'll wake me up when it's time to, pack up when im still nua-ing, tried her best to stuff my softtoy Dalki (half human half strawberry) into her bag cos im irresponsible enough to bring a bulky object without having enough space in my camping bag.

good times... and don't get me started about the fun during basketball trainings... how we ran around the court like wild pre-schoolers molesting eachother while the rest of the team practiced hard in shooting hoops

ahh... what i'd do to relive those moments...

ofcourse that's highly impossible, so for now i shall focus on BTT!

Wednesday while we were on the way to my uncle's birthday dinner at the restaurant at Orchard Mandarin (The same one we had dinner on Tzap Go), one of God's magnificent creations (among infinite amount of others) was formed to brighten up every body's day.

my second birthday card which i received yesterday from my beloved. i was laughing like mad in an inappropriate hour in my room by myself when i opened the envelope.

i realised how blessed i am with a wonderful friend like her, although we went our separate ways (different school i mean, haha so drama) , we still meet each other, sometimes not that often but we know deep inside we're caring for one another, (at least she's trying to tell me 'cos im the sensitive one haha) she's the only one who accepts me for who i am, so for that i'm very thankful. and although i'm older than her (by 3 months and one day) she will be the one who guides me and define wrong and right, and will always give in to me, like how an elder sibling would do to his/her younger sibling... she'll be the only one that i'll really open myself to and feel very comfortable with. although sometimes she may not show or express what she thinks but now i know, that she's always caring for me, even if we seldom contact (she bloody doesn't use her msn 'cos she claims it's very laggy). she'll be the one who stops to wonder what my future boyfriend will be like, and definitely be the one who predicts how he'll look like (i hope your prediction's true HAHA) she'll also be the one to mention that her best friend's birthday is coming and feeling excited too, in her own private space. and of course i truly understand you may not have all the time in the world to accompany me 'cos you have your honey, but still keep like at least one day per week for me la, (one week 7 days 6 days for him 1 day for me okay, no rest for you) jokes aside, thanks for everything, and always listening when i have things to whine and complain, i love you :)

had a long good chat with her. talking about studying overseas. as far as i know i think studying overseas would be good for me

2) unleash my fullest potential (i've always been lazy by nature. i've never really did anything with my full ability, and i don't know til now what things i'm good at and stuff [most likely it's still nothing] )

3) i dislike my current course- perhaps i've never mention this before 'cos this whole time i've been trying to persuade myself to like what i'm doing but i'm not... but i did several times to my mother who is very supportive of what i'd like or want to do. she says its okay to change course if i like, but going overseas to study is better, less time required. she's supportive of this too,but my father on the other hand, although the note he wrote behind my birthday angpau reads " we'll always support what you want to do" , i doubt he would for this case. he'll praise singapore's education system every now and then... i mean what's good about it? when you waste 3 years doing what you don't like?

so i'll probably have a talk with my dad tonight. hopefully he'll really listen to me instead of the usual "ya ya *looks at another direction* " he'd not do that if i were my brothers though............

not as if i'm not used to be treated differently. oh well, i do it to myself.

Yesterday - barely slept, declared war with a mosquito in my bedroom. as if it wasn't bad enough that i currently suffer from insomnia that i was happy that i could fall asleep at around 3 yet i woke up an hour later by traces of mosquito bites, tried to locate the mosquito bite cream and applied all around my face, hands and legs and went back to sleep, woke up less than an hour again with more bites, admitted defeat, left the battlefield and went downstairs to sleep on the sofa. but by then i was too energetic to fall asleep so i watched tv til it was time to go to school and meet up with the gang to study for our exam on monday, but after having breakfast i only lasted for a few hours, took a bus home, fell asleep on the bus
